Quick trick: how to take a screenshot on your Android Samsung Galaxy S?
- Press the back key and keep it pressed
- Press the home key and release it
- Release the back key
You will hear a click if you are not in silent mode, and a new PNG image will appear in the ScreenCapture directory, with format “SC<year><month><day>-<hour><minute><second>.png“. You can access it with a file manager such as the “My Files” application.

Believe it or not, I found it by chance: I was holding my phone badly with my hand pressing on the buttons below, then I heard a loud “click” and saw the “Screen captured. saved as an image file” message. I experimented until I was able to repeat the sequence that led to that.

My Galaxy S is unbranded and it’s not modded. Is yours the same? Maybe some brands or some mods don’t include this option.

This feature exists in all Galaxy S models and brands
Just it can take some trials to get it the right way
Try to make it quickly
